November Makeup

As I was viewing the photos for this look I realized how hard I was trying to portray certain makeup looks. Looks that follow current trends. I would constantly be on social media and find myself looking for only the things that are popular and trending. Along with this, I found myself comparing myself and my abilities to what I saw on social media. Instead of feeling confident and eager to find new and creative ideas, I was narrowing myself to focus on what will only be liked. In terms of beauty and fashion, it is not about being liked– it is about finding yourself, your confidence, and expressing what you feel and who you want to be. There is no wrong or right in that. It is not about being likable to the entire world. It about you becoming comfortable with yourself and what you have to offer. So, the moral of this post, is find your balance. Don’t always follow the hottest trend unless you truly want to. Do what makes you feel proud, happy, and courageous. Trends come and go and are always changing. The most important thing is to not let these trends change who you want to be because it is easier and everyone else seems to be doing it.

Enjoy the makeup look. I focused on the eyes and decided to create a bold, dark fall look. I don’t wear eye makeup like this myself, but I think it is worth a try. I feel applying makeup like this will help bring me out of my comfort zone and allow me to become more comfortable with dismissing what I think people might think of me. Give it a try with me and let me know how you felt.

Remember, you are on control of how you view yourself, so let it be beautiful.
