Facing Makeup

I was about 15 years old when I first started practicing my makeup skills. Looking back, I remember feeling insecure about whether I was doing my makeup right, and hoping that I didn’t look too different.

Even now there are so many different trends and styles that come and go and sometimes I feel like I can’t catch up. There will be instances where you are trying something new—you will stand in front of your mirror and wonder if the effort you put into your look was worth your time. Makeup is something that is meant to be experimented with and it can help you feel confident. Have fun with your makeup styles and don’t allow yourself to feel insecure—make use of the styles that make you feel good about yourself.

Makeup Look

Simple and natural makeup looks are my go to. Many of us feel like we can’t do much with natural colors but, there are many shades of browns, grays, pinks and shimmers that can create different highlights and shadows across our faces. For Hillary’s look, we applied pink eyeshadow, a dark rosy blush and a light pale pink color of lipstick. These colors created a simple and elegant look for just about any occasion.

Finding what colors and styles work for you is not a daunting process. Apply what you will feel comfortable and confident wearing.
